Travel & Stay

Located on the northern coast of Sicily, there are several travel options to get to Capo D’Orlando and most major cities in Europe will offer a direct flight to Catania or Palermo.
From Rome:
  • Fly into Catania or Palermo, both about a 2-hour drive or train ride to Capo D’Orlando.
  • You can also take a direct train from Rome to Capo D’Orlando, but this takes 10 hours.
From Naples:
  • Fly into Catania or Palermo with similar travel times to Capo D’Orlando as above (around 2 hours by car or train).
  • There’s a direct overnight train from Naples to Capo D’Orlando, which takes approximately 8-9 hours.

GETTING THERE

We recommend staying in Capo D’Orlando for three nights: Tuesday 19th, Wednesday 20th, and Thursday 21st of August as these will be our welcome drinks, wedding night, and recovery day.
Due to the heat this time of year, what may appear as a 10 minute walk on google maps will feel like 30, so try to book accommodation close to the beach (ideally within the first 4 blocks back from the beach front).
There are no taxis or Ubers in town, so plan to walk everywhere. If you’re renting a car for a road trip around Sicily, check with your accommodation about parking options, as it can be limited. Street parking is available and affordable, but it’s always good to plan ahead. If you are taking the train to Capo from the airport, the train station pictured on the map is walking distance to most hotels.
Heads Up: The 15th of August is the national saints day all across Italy, Ferragosto. The entire country shuts down for this public holiday - so travelling on this day can be extremely tricky!

SEASIDE BEACH HOTEL
Seaside Hotel is new to the Lungo Mare strip in Capo. It is a water facing building and roughly a 500m walk from the where the ceremony location.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Please note not all accomodation for August 2025 has been released yet. As this is a busy time of year, we recommend you book in advance with free cancellation to ensure you have somewhere secured.
IL MULINO HOTEL
This is a slightly older hotel but has been recently renovated. Il Mulino is right in the heart of the Capo beach front and is only 100m from the ceremony location.
APARTMENTS
Whilst Capo is a small town, there are a few great air bnbs and self contained apartments for rent available. These are usually a minimum 3 nights stay.
